Sonoraville High School students attended the kickoff event for Chick-fil-A Leader Academy today at Georgia Northwestern Technical College.  The Leader Academy is a national high school leadership program focused on “impact through action.” Their belief is that the world needs more leaders who impact their local communities, and our local Chick-fil-A in Calhoun, GA believes high school students are the answer!

Jonathan Purser, of Calhoun Chick-fil-A,  participated in the event by speaking to the students of the importance of leadership and also supplied breakfast and lunch to these students as they participated in servant leadership activities.

The students were able to apply these servant leadership skills immediately by helping serve people in their communities by rolling up their sleeves, pulling on hairnets, and getting to work packing around 175 meals (which will feed almost 600 people) for our local Fairmount and Plainville food banks.
