The SHS FFA junior and senior Livestock Evaluation teams placed second at the Gilmer County Agriculture Center for the Area 1 Livestock Evaluation CDE. The junior team members are Hannah McElrath, Murphy Robertson, Jazmine Ralston, and Gabrielle Ralston. Gabrielle was also the highest placing individual.  The senior team members were Gracy Sexton (5th), Brooklyn Carr (3rd), Annelies Carr (9th), and Robbie Arnold (4th). Participants in the Livestock Evaluation CDE cooperatively classify livestock as “keep” or “cull” for market and breeding purposes based on physical characteristics and records. Both the junior and senior teams will compete in the state Livestock Evaluation CDE on March 22nd and 23rd at the University of Georgia in Athens.
