Congratulations to Sonoraville High School student, Savannah Stanley, for being named Distinguished Young Woman of Gordon County, Class of 2019. She recently participated in the annual Distinguished Young Women of Gordon County program, and walked away as the newly named representative, receiving multiple awards and scholarships. Savannah was awarded a scholarship for being selected as overall representative, and for receiving all 5 judged category awards, as well. Judged categories include: Scholastics, Interview, Fitness, Self-expression, and Talent. Savannah received a $1,000 scholarship for being selected as the Distinguished Young Woman, and also received a $300 scholarship for each category award. This is a great accomplishment for Savannah. She has represented Sonoraville High School well, and will certainly represent Gordon County well in the future! She will travel to participate in the week-long state program, held in Marietta, GA, in July. We wish her all the best, and know that she will represent our community well! Way to go, Savannah!
