Please join SHS in congratulating our FFA students for a successful State Convention.

Robbie Arnold won Star Farmer and is the first person from Sonoraville High School to win this prestigious award.

Brooklyn Carr and Annelies Carr won the state championship in Agriscience in the area of Food Science. Gracy Sexton won the state championship in Agriscience in the area of Animal Systems. Hogan Smith won the state championship in Agriscience in the area of Environmental Science.

Alex Wofford, Robbie Arnold and Sam Ray were awarded the State FFA Degree which is the highest degree available in Georgia.

Alex Wofford was our candidate for State FFA officer, and also received the WLC scholarship, sponsored by the Georgia FFA Alumni.

Jazmine Ralston, Hannah McElrath, Gabrielle Ralston, and Murphy Robertson (not pictured), were the state champions in Junior Livestock Judging.

Gracy Sexton placed second in the state for Swine Production Proficiency.

In addition to these outstanding accomplishments, we would like to thank the entire student body and teachers that bought Hardee’s sausage biscuits this year.  We gave the most money ($2,450) to our local food bank than any other FFA chapter in the state of Georgia for the fourth straight year.  Thank you!
